On Saturday 8th August 2020, our wonderful volunteer, James, is running the Thames Meander Marathon for The Wild Mind Project – PLEASE sponsor him.

James is quote “very old (60), very unfit and very worried”, let’s hope that changes before August!! James has in fact run the London Marathon and the Richmond Park Marathon so we have high hopes! Show your support by donating – all proceeds fund our work with young people experiencing mental ill-health. Thank you!

The route is a flat scenic riverside trail starting and finishing at the YMCA Hawker Centre HQ.

The course meanders along the Thames Path out to the far side of Canbury Gardens and then returns past the HQ and along the Thames Path trail as far as the Barn Elms Rowing Club turnaround point, returning past the HQ again to the far side of Canbury Gardens which is the final turnaround point, returning to finish at the YMCA HQ.
